Elon Musk has confirmed that he and Shivon Zilis have welcomed a fourth child together, raising the billionaire’s total number of known children to 13.
Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, shared the news publicly for the first time on X this past Friday, also revealing the name of their third child — something that had not been disclosed until now.
“After discussing with Elon, and in honor of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was the right time to share more openly about our amazing son, Seldon Lycurgus. He’s built like a juggernaut, with the kindest heart of gold. I love him so deeply,” Zilis wrote, ending her post with a heart emoji. Musk replied with his own heart emoji in response.
It remains unclear when Seldon Lycurgus was born. Their third child, Arcadia, was also kept private until Zilis’ post on Friday, which marked the first time the name was revealed. The exact date of Arcadia’s birth — as well as whether the child is a boy or girl — has not yet been confirmed.
Musk and Zilis had previously conceived twins, Azure and Strider, through IVF. According to reports, nine of Musk’s 13 children were conceived using the method.
Zilis, now 39, has frequently been seen alongside Musk at high-profile events. She was a regular presence at Mar-a-Lago during Musk’s visits after President Trump’s election victory, and she appeared by his side at Trump’s inauguration. More recently, she and the couple’s twins joined Musk during his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Maye Musk, Elon’s mother, has also expressed affection for Zilis on X, particularly following controversy over claims by conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair, who alleged Musk fathered her six-month-old son. St. Clair has since filed a lawsuit in Manhattan seeking both custody and paternity recognition.
If the allegations are true, Musk would be the father of 14 children by four different women: six with his first wife, Justine Wilson; three with musician Grimes; four with Zilis; and one alleged child with St. Clair.
Musk has previously been outspoken about his stance on population decline. In 2022, he wrote on X: “Doing my best to help address the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is by far the greatest threat facing civilization.”
