Ben Affleck may be steering clear of the spotlight surrounding Jennifer Lopez’s latest music, but behind the scenes, he’s reportedly not thrilled about being cast as lyrical inspiration — especially when the tone hits close to home.
Jennifer Lopez has debuted a string of new songs during her on-going “Up All Night” tour, and at least a few seem to be pointed directly at her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Lopez isn’t pulling any punches with this new chapter in her music career. A source close to the singer said she’s entering a bold new era defined by unfiltered expression, saying:
“Jennifer has written and recorded enough tracks for a whole new album. The material is inspired by what she went through during her relationship with Ben. ‘Wreckage Of You’ was so specifically about Ben, and ‘Up All Night’ points to where Jennifer is at in her life right now. This is a whole new era for Jennifer and she isn’t going to be holding back.”
So how does Affleck feel about being featured so prominently — and emotionally — in Lopez’s music? According to an exclusive source of The Daily Mail, he believes it’s “childish.”
“If this song or any others bash him, what can he do? It’s childish and not something he wants to entertain,” the source said. “It is something he can’t control, so he isn’t going to let it hurt him and he’s definitely not going to give it life by reacting.”

Despite his feelings, Affleck allegedly isn’t surprised that Lopez turned to songwriting to process their split. “He’s known her long enough and been given a nod on plenty of her music before so he is more than aware that this was coming,” the insider continued. “He knows that this is something she has to do for herself and for her artistry.”
