The 44-year-old comedian stepped out in a sleek black one-piece during her vacation looking bold and body-positive. However, the photo is making waves across the internet for more than one reason.
Amy Schumer recently shared a photo of herself to her Instagram page on July 11, 2025. She was captured standing on the deck of a yacht, wearing a simple yet elegant black swimsuit that accentuated her natural curves.
With her blonde hair pulled into a loose bun and a pair of sunglasses shielding her eyes, she stood confidently with the sea and green cliffs stretching out behind her. However, the photo drew much attention partly due to certain medications and hormone therapies that Schumer has opened up about exploring.
Speaking in a video uploaded on her feed in March, she recalled a difficult experience with Wegovy, which she said caused her extreme nausea. “I was like puking. I couldn’t handle it,” she admitted. She also revealed during an interview on “The Howard Stern Show” that she tried Ozempic nearly three years ago but had a similarly rough reaction.
Schumer attributed this to a gene she carries, GDF15, which makes her highly prone to nausea, a condition that also affected her during pregnancy.
More recently, the comedian has found success with a different path. After connecting with MIDI Health, a telehealth provider, she was prescribed estrogen and progesterone to treat symptoms of perimenopause. The result, according to her, has been transformative. “My hair is fuller. My skin is better. I have more energy,” she said.
She also began using Mounjaro, a drug typically reserved for diabetes or severe obesity. Though not covered by insurance in her case, Schumer said it’s made a positive difference in her life. “I’m having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real..,” she explained, noting that she eventually invested in the very healthcare company that prescribed it.
On social media, her recent casual post prompted a mix of support, skepticism, and sarcasm from the public. One netizen praised her appearance by writing, “She looks healthy and normal.” Another commented, “Wow looks normal and human. Good for her. Now let it go.”
