A couple with dwarfism gave birth to three children against the recommendations of doctors and proved that happiness does not depend on height.

After much deliberation and fears that their physical characteristics could be passed on to their children, the couple decided to have their first pregnancy. OBOZ.UA decided to show how the happy family looks like now and tell about the problems they faced. When preparing for the birth of their first daughter, doctors told the Australians that the chances of having a child without a genetic disease were 25%, and the same number of chances that the child would not survive at all. Fortunately, the worst did not happen.

However, baby Tilba was still diagnosed with achondroplasia, a hereditary anomaly that leads to dwarfism. Doctors warned her parents that the girl might have spinal complications in the future, but overall she is a healthy and active child.

In 2018, Charlie found out that she was expecting another daughter, and she had inherited the disease from her father – achromatic dysplasia. Even though both children would live with dwarfism, the woman’s pregnancies went smoothly.
