This is especially true with Brigham Young University\u2019s (BYU) Vocal Point\u2019s acapella performance of Josh Groban\u2019s 2003 hit song, \u201cYou Raise Me Up.\u201d This upbeat tune is given new life in their rendition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acapella group BYU Vocal Point was created in 1991 by students Dave Boyce and Bob Ahlander. The trio sold out their initial concert and quickly became well-known on campus.<\/p>\n

BYU Vocal Point has won various awards since its founding, including fifth place in the third season of NBC\u2019s The Sing-Off.<\/p>\n

When they shared on social media in December 2018 that they had signed a record deal with Decca Gold, the classical label owned by Universal Music Group, more people became aware of their skill.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re ordinary college students doing extraordinary things,\u201d<\/strong> said member Jason Bromley.<\/p>\n
