In the newly released trailer for “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” Todd and Julie reflect on the hardships they endured after their arrest. Their children also share their perspectives on the events that shaped that difficult period in their lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Their older half-sister, Lindsie Chrisley, reportedly\u00a0sent a letter<\/u>\u00a0to the FBI alleging that she feared her father’s violence, harassment, and blackmail after he threatened to leak her intimate video.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Responding to the allegations, Grayson Chrisley\u00a0said<\/u>, “We’ve had [sic] own family members betray us.” Savannah Chrisley\u00a0added<\/u>, “The prosecutor read the letter Lindsie wrote to the FBI. We’re no longer family \u2014 lose our last name.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, their older brother Chase Chrisley\u00a0remarked<\/u>, “I mean, your blood will screw you over faster than a stranger definitely will.” Todd and Julie were convicted of fraud and tax evasion in 2022 and were sentenced to a combined 19 years. In May 2025, President Donald Trump granted the couple a pardon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

White House spokesperson Harrison Fields\u00a0said<\/u>\u00a0at the time that the president is “always pleased to give well-deserving Americans a second chance, especially those who have been unfairly targeted and overly prosecuted by an unjust justice system.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump reportedly called Savannah and Grayson from the Oval Office to inform them personally that he would pardon their parents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the trailer, Grayson, 19, recalled his father\u00a0telling<\/u>\u00a0him, “‘I’m sorry that I couldn’t apologize for something I didn’t do.'” Meanwhile, Savannah became emotional as she\u00a0remembered<\/u>\u00a0the day their parents said goodbye to the family after their sentencing:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I’ll never forget him opening the door and just watching him walk away.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Chase, 29,\u00a0added<\/u>, “Not having my parents around almost felt like a death.” His younger sister, 27,\u00a0admitted<\/u>\u00a0that without their parents, the home felt “divided.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The trailer also shows Todd and Julie reuniting with their children, all visibly emotional as they embraced following their release from prison. Later, the couple shared a quiet moment at home. “Well, we survived,” Julie\u00a0said<\/u>, while Todd wiped away tears. The two had not seen each other in three years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now that they are back home, Chase said he wants people to know the truth about what really happened. “There’s a score to be settled. My dad is not one to play with,” he remarked. Todd\u00a0added<\/u>:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I have nothing to hide. [\u2026] I’m looking at this as me exposing the truth.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Even while serving time, Todd and Julie reportedly earned significant sums as they continued to fight the charges against them.\u00a0As previously reported,\u00a0<\/strong>the couple was imprisoned in 2022, with Todd receiving a 12-year sentence and Julie seven years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Their sentences, however, have been reduced: Todd’s by two years and Julie’s by 14 months. The substantial settlement they recently received stems from a lawsuit filed by the couple for Misconduct in Investigation against the State of Georgia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alex Little, the attorney representing Todd and Julie,\u00a0stated, “We have been saying for months that the criminal case against the Chrisleys was highly unusual and had real problems. This settlement is an encouraging sign.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
