A grandmother unknowingly captured a heartbreaking final moment just before a devastating hit-and-run took the life of\u00a0three-year-old Scarlett Jensen<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0October 7, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Scarlett and her\u00a0two-year-old brother, Henry<\/strong>, were under their grandmother\u2019s care in\u00a0Oldtown, Idaho<\/strong>, when tragedy struck. A speeding\u00a0Chevy Tahoe<\/strong>\u00a0barreled down their\u00a0private driveway<\/strong>, hitting both children before their grandmother could pull them to safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mother was waving her hands, screaming for him to stop. She tried to grab my children\u2026 but he was going too fast,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0recalled their grieving mother,\u00a0Samantha Jensen<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cScarlett was killed almost instantly, and my mom and Henry were critically injured.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The driver\u00a0fled the scene<\/strong>, leaving behind shattered lives. Authorities later arrested him, and he was sentenced to\u00a0ten years in prison<\/strong>\u00a0for the fatal hit-and-run.<\/p>\n
