A Georgia community is grappling with the disturbing sequence of events that ended in tragedy for a young woman and her spouse, who were popular online.<\/p>\n

On the night of June 14, 2025, a domestic disturbance in Twin City, Georgia, led to the death of 27-year-old influencer Zaria Khadejah Carr and the suicide of her husband, 36-year-old Shamarcus Jameal Carr. The fatal episode, which unfolded across two counties, stands out for its violent end and the involvement of social media<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

According to authorities,\u00a0police responded<\/u> to a 9:30 p.m. EST domestic disturbance at the 100 block of 5th Avenue in Twin City. When officers arrived, they found Zaria unconscious. She was later pronounced dead at the scene. Shamarcus, her husband, was not there, and Zaria’s 2021 Dodge Challenger was missing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

An alert was quickly issued for the vehicle. Around 11 p.m., deputies in Wayne County located the car and attempted a traffic stop. Shamarcus was behind the wheel. Before officers could intervene, he used a weapon on himself. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Investigators confirmed that an autopsy would be performed on Zaria, though her official cause of death and the nature of her injuries have\u00a0not been released<\/u>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier that evening, at approximately 6 p.m., Zaria posted a plea for help on her Facebook page under the name “Dutchess Dior.” “I really don’t know what to do,” she\u00a0wrote<\/u>, “.. but i need help before i lose my life or freedom ! My kids need me [sic]!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A few minutes later, when a friend\u00a0commented<\/u>, “What I told you \ud83d\ude1e,” Zaria\u00a0replied<\/u>, “I know but this mf done got on the dumb [expletive] so if i die somebody need to know [sic].”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Roughly two hours later, around 8 p.m., a Facebook Live\u00a0video<\/u>\u00a0was streamed from Shamarcus’ account, “The Frenchman,” where he had a following of more than 45,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The 7-minute clip opened inside the couple’s kitchen. Shamarcus was seen taking items from the fridge. After the doorbell rang, Zaria entered and confronted him about smoking indoors. He continued cooking and spoke casually about seasoning his food.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On the surface, it looked like a normal conversation between a married couple. At several points, however, the two exchanged curse words and slurs, and Shamarcus began talking about cheating on one another.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Still, everything seemed calm until Zaria, seemingly playfully, snatched<\/u>\u00a0her husband’s phone, which had been set somewhere near the stove. The final words on camera were Shamarcus asking for his phone back.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Authorities stated they are aware of the social media content but have\u00a0not confirmed<\/u> the identities behind the accounts. Meanwhile, funeral arrangements for Zaria have been announced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A visitation will be held on June 20 at Phinazee & Son Funeral Home, followed by burial on June 21 at Jones Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Midville, Georgia.\u00a0Her obituary page<\/u> has since been filled with condolence messages from those mourning the sudden loss.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Furthermore, at this time, Shamarcus’ death is\u00a0under the jurisdiction<\/u>\u00a0of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, and officials said the investigation is\u00a0still ongoing<\/u>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Once the investigation concludes, the case file will be submitted to the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office. We offer our condolences to anyone affected by this\u00a0tragedy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Unfortunately, another similarly disturbing situation happened a month earlier.\u00a0As previously reported, four members of the Bockemeier family were found dead in Albuquerque on the morning of Saturday, May 24, 2025, in what police are investigating as a possible murder-suicide.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Around 6 a.m., Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to a report of a house fire on the 2800 block of Georgia Street Northeast, near Candelaria and Louisiana. Upon arrival, firefighters found three deceased individuals inside the home. All three appeared to have\u00a0suffered gunshot wounds\u00a0before the fire began.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Albuquerque Police Department (APD) Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists were immediately called to the scene to begin an investigation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

APD later confirmed that the victims were a married couple, 76-year-old Stephen William Bockemeier and 77-year-old Marcia Elizabeth Bockemeier, and their 48-year-old son, Erik Josef Bockemeier.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Shortly after the discovery at the residence, APD received another call about a deceased person found outside the front entrance of the State Bar of New Mexico, located near the corner of Jefferson Street Northeast and Masthead Street Northeast. Police identified the individual as 35-year-old Andrew Stephen Bockemeier, another son of Stephen and Marcia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Detectives found that the firearm used in the suicide matched the one used in the killings at the Georgia Street home. Police say this led them to conclude that Andrew likely shot and killed his parents and brother before taking his own life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Authorities confirmed that a note was found at the residence, but its contents have not been released. APD continues to investigate the exact cause of the fire and any additional circumstances surrounding the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Gilbert Gallegos, APD’s communications director,\u00a0stated, “The individual who died of suicide was the son of those parents, and that was his brother, who was killed in the house. So at this point, it appears this individual shot and killed his parents and his brother.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Gilbert also acknowledged the broader impact of such incidents. “It’s troubling. It was troubling last year. I think that totaled about ten deaths last year just from those couple of incidents. To see this happen today, too, it’s just another reminder that some families are going through different things that we don’t know about,” he\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Police believe mental health may have played a role in the tragic incident. As the investigation continues, officials are working to gather more details about the circumstances leading up to the deaths of the four family members.
